Women Soccer Team Ends Season on Winning Note

Manchester, CT – Sophomore captain Stacey Lambert (Lebanon) had a goal and three assists in her final game at Manchester CC (3-11), leading the Cougars to a 6-0 victory over Bristol CC (0-8-1)Tuesday afternoon.

After starting the season with ten consecutive losses, MCC won three of its last four games.

Freshman captian Ally Nuccio (Tolland) had a pair of goals, Ashley Parke (Woodstock) had a goal and an assist and Nicole Wade (Norwich) had two assists. Kailee Doerfler (Tolland) and Nicole Hornish (East Hartford) also scored for MCC, who fishished the season with a 3-6 record in Region 21, Division III games, but did not quality for post season play for the first time since 2006.

Danielle Hebert (Mansfield) and Jaime Mancuso (South Windsor)made one save each to record MCC’s only shutout of the season.
