Wednesday’s Soccer Games Rained Out

Both Men’s and Women’s soccer games for Wednesday, October 1st, have been washed out due to poor field conditions.

The #14 ranked MCC Men’s team (7-2) will not make up the scheduled game against #4 Ulster County (Stone Ridge, New York) CC. Ulster County CC is 9-1-1 and plays in Region 15, which is comprised of schools in in lower New York area. The winners of the Region 15 and Region 21 tournaments (October 25-26) will play in a District Championship game on Saturday November 1 at the site of the Region 15 Champion. The winner of that game will move on to the NJCAA Division III National Championship in Richland, Texas November 8-9.

The 8-0 MCC Women’s team will make up the Region 21, Division III game against Springfield Tech at a date to be determined. Alex Calpa’s team will host Massasoit CC on Saturday, October 4 at 12PM . The Women’s team will follow Saturday’s match with three straight road games, including its toughest of the season when it visits CC of Rhode Island (5-2), the #11 NJCAA Division I team, on Wednesday, October 8th.
