Tickets are on sale for the 16th Annual An Evening of Fine Wines
Manchester, Conn., (February 26, 2008)…Tickets are on sale for the 16th Annual An Evening of Fine Wines held on Friday, April 4 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. This year’s honorary chair is Stephen N. Finger, president of Pratt & Whitney. WFSB Channel 3 Meteorologist, Scot Haney is the event’s guest emcee.
The annual gala event is sponsored by the Manchester Community College Foundation, Inc. and combines a wine tasting and live wine auction with a silent auction of non-wine items to raise funds for scholarships and programs at the College. The event will feature more than 100 different wines from around the world with at least 25 tasting tables. Each guest will receive a complimentary wine tasting glass for sampling the wines on display. Hors d’oeuvres will be served throughout the evening; coffee and a Viennese table of desserts will be served at the conclusion of the auction. A silent auction of merchandise and gift certificates will precede the main auction. Past items included vacations and weekend getaways, original works of art, and gift certificates for trips, restaurants, services, and much more.

The Manchester Community College Foundation is a private, nonprofit, 501(c) 3 Connecticut corporation. It is governed by a volunteer board of directors, composed of business and community leaders. Its board meets bi-monthly and lends its considerable expertise to the operations of the Foundation and the College’s development program.
