Students Can Study Visual Fine Arts at MCC; Applications for New Students Accepted Online
MANCHESTER, Conn. (October 1, 2020) – Manchester Community College’s associate degree programs in the visual fine arts go a long way toward meeting many educational goals at a reasonable cost.
MCC offers associate in art degrees in visual fine arts or photography. The college also offers a certificate program in photography, which students can incorporate into their associate degree studies or pursue independently to enhance their credentials.
In addition, there is a Connecticut Colleges and Universities (CSCU) pathway transfer degree in art studies for students interested in continuing at a baccalaureate institution. By starting their course work at MCC, they are able to take advantage of the college’s high quality instruction and more affordable tuition and fees. Those intending to transfer are encouraged to meet with their academic advisor to discuss how MCC courses transfer to other institutions. The CSCU Transfer Ticket program makes this process nearly seamless. For more information on Transfer Tickets, visit www.manchestercc.edu/transfertickets.
These programs offer students a high quality and affordable transfer-oriented course of study in ceramics, drawing, figure drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture. The photography option prepares students to transfer or for an entry-level photography position.
Besides the degree and certificate programs, courses required for a major in visual fine arts at MCC may also satisfy general studies requirements in other majors.
