Students Can Study Graphic Design at MCC – Enroll Today

MANCHESTER, Conn.  (November 10, 2021) – Students interested in a career involving graphic design can pursue their goals with an associate degree at Manchester Community College.

MCC was the first college in Connecticut to offer an associate degree focused on digital media, and it remains a  leader in design and digital arts education. Its graphic design course work has been developed to engage students in the design process, practice hands-on skill-building techniques and create real-world graphic solutions.

The college’s state-of-the-art design and computer labs provide students with an environment to use current, professional-level software that lets them train on the same technologies they will encounter in the workplace. Students have the opportunity to apply for co-op placements where they can gain both real-world experience and academic credits.

Prospective students do not need to submit a portfolio for review in order to enroll.

A few examples of career opportunities that these programs can help launch an MCC graduate into are art director, brand manager, illustrator, production artist, social media designer, typographer, UI/UX designer and web designer. Many of the technician-level jobs in these areas are among the state’s fastest growing occupations requiring an associate degree, according to the Connecticut Department of Labor.
