MCC’s Classical Cuisine Dinner Supports the College’s Hospitality Student Clubs and Competition Teams

MANCHESTER, Conn. (November 29, 2018) — Following Thanksgiving, keep the holiday spirit going with a lavish seven-course dinner featuring the flavors of Spain and Portugal prepared by MCC Culinary Arts students. The dinner is Tuesday, December 4, beginning at 6 p.m. The Iberian-style menu features Spanish tapas, casoletta de paella, caldo verde, garlic-roasted pork shank, blood orange sorbet, olive-oil poached monkfish, grilled pulpo and pastel de nata.

The special evening will take place in the dining room of the college’s Culinary Arts Center located on the second floor of the Student Services Center. All proceeds from the dinner benefit hospitality student clubs and competition teams.

The Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management department at Manchester Community College offers students a choice of degree and certificate programs in the areas of culinary arts, foodservice and hotel-tourism. Both the Culinary Arts and Foodservice Management associate in science degree programs have been granted exemplary status by the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation (ACFEF). This distinction is a guarantee to students that their program has met or exceeded the standards set by the ACF Accrediting Commission and the foodservice industry.
