MCC’s Classical Cuisine Dinner Supports the College’s Award-Winning Hospitality and Culinary Arts Programs

Manchester, Conn. (November 14, 2016) — Following Thanksgiving, keep the holiday spirit going with a Classical Italian Dinner at Manchester Community College. Tuesday, November 29, beginning at 6 p.m., students from MCC’s culinary arts programs will prepare and serve a gourmet meal featuring antipasto, pasta, zuppa, primo, platto di mezzo, insalada and dulce courses.

The special evening will take place in the dining room of the college’s Culinary Arts Center located on the second floor of the Student Services Center. This is the first year that the students are preparing an Italian meal. For more details and the full menu, visit www.manchestercc.edu/meals .

Proceeds from the dinner will support participation of the college’s culinary and ice-carving teams in local and regional competitions.

The award-winning Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts Department at Manchester Community College offers students a choice of degree and certificate programs in the areas of culinary arts, foodservice and hotel-tourism. Both the Culinary Arts and Foodservice Management associate in science degree programs have been granted exemplary status by the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation (ACFEF). This distinction is a guarantee to students that their program has met or exceeded the standards set by the ACF Accrediting Commission and the foodservice industry.
