MCC to Participate in “Go Back to Get Ahead” Open Registration August 5 and 12
Manchester Community College will participate in a “Go Back to Get Ahead” open registration opportunity at Three Rivers Community College in Norwich on August 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. MCC will also host its own open registration event on the Manchester campus August 12, from 5 to 7 p.m.
“Go Back to Get Ahead” is the Connecticut program designed to give “lapsed” college students the opportunity to get their college education back on track, and to develop a better educated workforce and more competitive state economy. The program offers in-state residents who have started, but not completed a degree, free college courses when they re-enroll. Through the “Go Back to Get Ahead” program, for a limited time, individuals who took college courses before Dec. 1, 2012, but left before completing their degree, can get up to three free 3-credit courses, by enrolling in one of Connecticut’s 18 community colleges or universities.
At the August 5 and 12 open registration events, eligible students can, in one day, apply to MCC, speak with a financial aid counselor, speak with an advisor, register for classes and pay tuition.
