MCC “Super Saturday” Offers Expanded Enrollment Services January 10

Prospective and continuing students at Manchester Community College are invited to a special Saturday event on January 10 that is specifically designed to expedite enrollment for the spring 2015 term. There is still space available in many spring courses.

From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on this “Super Saturday,” MCC’s Admissions, Assessment Testing, Academic Advising/Counseling, Registration and Bursar’s offices will be open.  There will be walk-in advising available from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Students who need assessment testing should arrive by 9 a.m.  A deposit on the college’s payment plan, or approved financial aid, will be required at the time of registration. “Increasingly, first-time students are struggling to plan and pay for college. At Manchester Community College, we want to make the process as easy, convenient and accessible as possible,” said Catherine Seaver, interim associate dean of Student Affairs. “In addition to Super Saturday, starting the week of January 12 through January 22, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., enrollment services coordinators will be located at the Student Information Center in the Student Services Center building.”

Starting Friday, January 16, all enrollment management offices (admissions, financial aid and registration) will open from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each Friday.  This will give prospective and returning students consistent office hours for enrollment services.

Students who haven’t already done so are encouraged to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid, aka, the FAFSA. Federal assistance includes need-based programs such as Federal Pell Grants. Students may also be eligible for work-study programs. The FAFSA can be submitted online at fafsa.gov; MCC’s school code is 001392.
