MCC Opens its Student Kitchens for Dining at the Culinary Arts Center

Manchester Community College is once again opening its Culinary Arts Center kitchens to members of the community this spring to help students learn and improve their craft.

The public is invited to join student chefs at any of a series of luncheons featuring tantalizing, classic dishes. The cost per lunch is $8 per person; dinner is $12 per person. Tickets are still available for lunches at noon on April 7 and 14, and for a Seder-style dinner on March 31 at 6 p.m.  Seating is in the Culinary Arts Center dining room on the second floor of the college’s Student Services Center.

For more information on the menus planned for each meal, visit the website.

“Part of the learning experience is to serve real customers and get feedback on the quality of our students’ food and service,” said Professor Jayne Pearson, who leads the MCC program. “We encourage people to join us and, rather than leaving a tip, provide honest comments to help the students learn how to provide world-class service.”

Reservations are required and fees must be paid at least two weeks in advance. There is a limit of eight reservations per person per meal.

For credit card payments, call 860-512-3648; for cash or check payments, please visit the college bursar’s office, Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
