MCC Opens its Student Kitchens for Public Dining at the Culinary Arts Center
MANCHESTER, Conn. (April 2, 2019) – Manchester Community College is once again opening up its Culinary Arts Center kitchens to members of the community this spring to help students improve their craft.
The public is invited to join student chefs and servers at any of the series of luncheons and dinners featuring full-course menus of tantalizing and classic dishes. While the student “chefs-in-training” will provide you with delicious food, the wait staff of culinary arts and hospitality students will provide you with superior table service. We invite you to join our students as they learn and you enjoy a relaxing and delicious meal. Tickets are on sale now.
Luncheons will be served at noon on April 16, May 1 and 14. The cost for luncheons is $10 per person. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m., April 16. The cost for dinners is $15 per person. Seating is in the Culinary Arts Center on the second floor of the college’s Student Services Center.
Sample menu items include creamy potato leek soup and bread, lemon crepe soufflé, and trout meunière.
On May 14 at noon, the Culinary Arts Center will host Grazing Day. MCC’s student chefs will choose a selection of items for diners to enjoy. There is no reservation required for this first-come first-served luncheon. The cost per person is $8 at the door.
