MCC Offers Opportunities for High School-Aged Entrepreneurs
High school students who are looking for an income this summer or for the start of the next school year can improve their qualifications with Manchester Community College Credit-Free Programs.
Budding writers or those with an interest in public relations can participate in the course e-Newsletters for Small Businesses and Nonprofits to be held on Thursdays, June 19 and 26, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Instructor Michael Selissen is the founder of Case Mountain Communications and the monthly e-newsletter MarCom Matters. The newsletter focuses on marketing communications tools, tactics and strategies, which are resources with the potential to elevate written material. Have a passion for photography? Earn some extra cash helping your parent’s friends or your neighbors with the skills learned in the course Restoring Old Photos, to be held on Wednesday, June 11 from 6 to 9 p.m. Participants will learn techniques for restoring, color correcting and enhancing digital or scanned photos. Students will learn how to use Photoshop as a retouching tool with the help of instructor Laurie Grace, M.F.A., seasoned illustrator, designer and educator.
