MCC Offers New Credit-Free Courses for Summer

Manchester, Conn. (April 27, 2016) – Manchester Community College has released the Summer 2016 catalog for Credit-Free programs. The Summer catalog features 37 new courses in personal enrichment and professional development, with new and returning instructors who specialize in adult learning and an array of diverse topics.

Courses are available on exciting new personal enrichment topics beginning as early as June, including Dadaism: Collage and Mixed Media in the Art and Crafts section; Norman Rockwell: An American Original in the Noon Institute section; Rain Barrels and Water for the Garden and Repairing and Replacing Framed Raised Beds, both in the Gardening section; Gentle Yoga for Well Being: Intermediate to Advanced Practitioners in the Fitness and Recreation section; 22 Ways to Reduce Stress and Stay Healthy in the Body, Mind & Spirit section; How to Write Your First Song … Or Write a Better One in the Music section; and many others.

If professional development is your goal this summer, some of the new courses include: Microsoft Excel Certificate: Introduction and Advanced, both in the Spreadsheets section; App Inventor Introduction in the Programing section; Self-Assured Leadership for Technical Corporate Professionals in the Professional Development section; Self-Assured Leadership for Technical Corporate Professionals and Business Owners: Hiring Incorrectly Can Cost You, both in the Professional Development section; and many more.
