MCC Offers New Credit-Free Courses for Spring

Manchester, Conn. (February 2, 2016) –Manchester Community College has released the Spring 2016 catalog for credit-free programs. Registration for these courses, which tend to be shorter than a full semester, with start times paced throughout the term, is now open. The Spring catalog features more than 70 new courses in personal enrichment and professional development with new and returning instructors who specialize in adult learning and an array of diverse topics. Credit-free courses are short in length with options for day time, evening, Saturday and online schedules. Students are encouraged to register with a friend, family member or colleague, to pursue a hobby or develop a marketable new skill. Select from exciting new personal enrichment topics beginning as early as February, including; Artisan Bread and Rolls in the cuisine section; Tabata Express in the fitness section; Spanish for Comics Lovers in the languages section; the Magic and Mystique of Morocco from the Noon Institute section; Introduction to Ceramics in the Art and Crafts section; Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction in the Body, Mind and Spirit section; and many more.

If professional development is your goal for 2016, some of the new Computer Technology courses include: Publisher 2013 Introduction in the digital imaging section, Windows PowerShell or Linux Introduction in the computer operating systems section, Security Incident Handling Engineer Certification Preparation in the security section, App Inventor Introduction in the programming section, and many more.
