MCC Names Two Associate Deans to Leadership Team
MANCHESTER, Conn. (January 19, 2022) – Manchester Community College has named Trent “T.J.” Barber associate dean of student development and Andrew “Drew” Fraser associate dean of campus operations.
Barber, a resident of Manchester, is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington and Central Connecticut State University, and he is currently a doctoral student at the University of Dayton. He has spent the past 20 years as a professional in student life on several campuses, including the past 11 years at MCC.
Fraser, who resides in Cheshire, has been an associate professor in the College of Hospitality Management at Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island. Prior to that, he was director of operations at the Rhode Island Convention and Entertainment Complex. He has also held positions in sports marketing, university athletics, and event/facilities operations. He holds a bachelor of arts in journalism and advertising and a master of education in sport and recreation administration, both from Temple University.
Dr. Rob Steinmetz, regional president, Connecticut Community Colleges Capital-East Region, said, “T.J. and Drew will bring fresh ideas to the table during a critical time for our state’s community colleges. I am pleased to have them on board as part of MCC’s leadership team, and I look forward to their contributions to our student’s success.”
