MCC Foundation Names Two to Board of Directors
MANCHESTER, Conn. (March 28, 2022) – Manchester Community College Foundation has named two new members to its board of directors.
Peter Schauster, of Manchester, and Marlon Taffe, of Collinsville, were elected as directors serving through June 30, 2023.
Schauster is president of Empire Industries, Inc., a family-owned pipe hanger and support manufacturer. Previously he served as the company’s national sales manager and vice president of sales and marketing. His experience with higher education includes his work at Cabrini University, where he held positions in financial aid and admissions. He holds a master’s degree in education and a bachelor’s degree in psychology, both from Cabrini.
Taffe is senior director of operations for mechanical systems aftermarket at Collins Aerospace, a division of Raytheon Technologies Corp., where he leads the company’s key focus on cost reduction of maintenance, repair and overhaul, as well as spare parts delivery performance. He holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Connecticut.
“We are pleased to welcome Peter and Marlon to the board,” said MCC Foundation President Peter Grose. “They will help us advance the foundation’s mission; strengthen relationships with the greater college community; and leverage the foundation’s strong financial assets to support MCC students and college priorities.”
