MCC Foundation Announces Evening of Fine Food and Friends Fundraiser, April 24
MANCHESTER, Conn. (January 17, 2020) – MCC Foundation will present the 2020 Evening of Fine Food and Friends on April 24 on the MCC campus. Register yourself and your guests or become a sponsor to enjoy exclusive benefits.
The event celebrates the culmination of the foundation’s Campaign 2020 with a festive 1920s theme. Dance, sip and bid to support MCC students. Put on the Ritz in elegant “Roaring Twenties”-style clothes for this event.
Billy Grant, local celebrity chef and restauranteur and an MCC Foundation board member, will serve as honorary chair. The signature fundraising night of fun, food, friends, wines and beers is designed to help spotlight all that MCC students contribute to make this outstanding event a success. Guests will start the evening with performances by MCC’s Music Studies students — with special musical arrangements at the VIP reception — and end by dancing to great music spun by DJs from MCC’s student-run ICE Radio.
All the food is prepared and served by MCC’s Culinary Arts and Hospitality students. In fact, they have already started planning the menu.
Through MCC Foundation, Evening of Fine Food and Friends raises funds that enable students to pursue their educational goals by supporting scholarships, and academic and other programs that enable success such as student emergency funds, the on-campus food pantry and other holistic services. Less than half of the college’s budget is supported through public funding, making support from MCC Foundation donors crucial.
