MCC Credit-Free Programs Offers “Principles and Practices of Real Estate” Course

Manchester, Conn. (August 24, 2017) – Manchester Community College’s Continuing Education division is offering “Principles and Practices of Real Estate” as part of its fall 2017 course offerings.

“Principles and Practices of Real Estate” is required as the first step for anyone pursuing a real estate career in Connecticut. It provides clear explanations of modern real estate practices and a working knowledge of real estate in the state. In addition, the content is designed to provide valuable information to property owners, buyers and sellers. Students must attend at least 60 hours and pass the course with a score of 70 or higher in order to sit for the state exam (the salesperson state exam fee is not included with this course).

This course is taught by two esteemed MCC lecturers. Marc Vallen, J.D., has been employed as an assistant state’s attorney since 2003. Prior to this, he worked in a private practice. Vallen received his law degree cum laude from Quinnipiac University in 1990. He has been teaching real estate courses at MCC since 2014.

Dominick Galletti, MBA, is currently an independent fee appraiser with Wellspeak, Dugas and Kane, LLC. Previously, Galletti was an analyst with Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers LCC; an appraiser at Austin McGuire Company; and a Leasing Consultant with Avalon Bay Communities, Inc. Galletti received his MBA from the University of Connecticut in 2010 and is a veteran of the US Air Force.

This course is offered in two convenient sections. Section 1 (CRN 31314) is offered Tuesdays and Thursdays, September 19 through November 16, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Section 2 (CRN 30970) is offered 11 Wednesdays, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., and 4 Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., starting September 27 and completing December 20. The fee for either section is $485.
