MCC Collaborates with Department of Environmental Protection and Connecticut Clean Energy Fund to Provide Internships for Students
WHO: At the workshop students will have the opportunity to discuss the projects they worked on and their experiences working with town officials on green initiatives. The internships were designed as a pilot, to assist municipalities in the Manchester and Norwich regions that were developing green/energy projects but needed knowledgeable manpower to execute them. The Department of Environmental Protection solicited the towns, funding was received from the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund and the colleges provided the students.
WHAT: Manchester Community College will host the Connecticut Municipal Climate Network Workshop to showcase the collaboration in the development of internships between the Department of Environmental Protection, Connecticut Clean Energy Fund and municipalities in the regions served by Manchester Community College and Three Rivers Community College.
WHEN: Monday, June 20, 2011 from 9:00 a.m.to 12 noon
