MCC Announces July and August Events Sponsored by the Viscogliosi Entrepreneurship Center
New events and programs sponsored by the Viscogliosi Entrepreneurship Center (VEC) are scheduled at Manchester Community College Arts and Education Center – also known as MCC on Main – at 903 Main Street for July and August. All events are free unless noted otherwise.
Supported by a donation from Anthony and Paula Viscogliosi, the VEC provides entrepreneurs and small business owners with opportunities to explore and develop their passion and vision, and to create responsible leadership and viable businesses through innovative and informative educational and networking programs.

July 15 and August 19 – 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Life and Career Coaching offered by Dr. Stacey Zackin, certified professional life, career and health coach. Seeking more balance, fulfillment and vitality in your personal or professional life? Learn to shift your perspective, change your behaviors and live your values when you schedule an individual 45-minute appointment.
July 21 and August 18 – 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Financial Counseling Sessions with Lindsay Payne ’08, career agent, B&L Financial Architects. Participate in a financial safety check for your business or personal finances. Receive advice on how to build and maintain strong financial “houses.” Walk-ins are welcome.
August 14 – 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Business Counseling for Women offered by Milena Erwin, Women’s Business Center, University of Hartford. Sessions are scheduled by the hour for one-on-one business counseling. Walk-ins are welcome.
August 20 – 6 to 8 p.m. Business After Hours Happy Hour. Stop by to network with local professionals and entrepreneurs and make the connections that are vital to expanding your business and career. Enjoy complimentary light fare and cocktails provided by Onyx Moonshine.
August 25 – 6 to 8 p.m. “The ABCs of a Business Plan and Understanding a SWOT Analysis.” This workshop — led by Moraima Gutierez, assistant district director of economic development, U.S. Small Business Administration, Connecticut district office — will cover the basics of a business plan: business concept and research, collecting data, defining a target population, business plan, and putting it all together.

July 25 and 26 – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. “Entrepreneurial Sequence for Business Start-Ups.” Refer to CRN 20802 when registering. The course runs for two sessions. Fee: $165. The instructor is George Constance, a business consultant and member of Manchester-based Axis901, who has provided services in marketing strategy and development, product line branding, business analysis and project management to clients across Connecticut. The registration deadline is Friday July 17. Students should bring a lunch to both sessions.
