MCC Announces Appointments to Staff Positions
Manchester Community College is pleased to announce the following new appointments:
Gail Arroyo, of East Hartford, Conn., has been named assistant registrar. She will lead the detailed recording, maintenance and report preparation of student records at MCC. Arroyo has served in the position on an interim basis since earlier this year. Prior to that, she was a degree auditor since 2005, responsible for working with students preparing to graduate and solving any issues preventing them from graduating, as well as registering students for classes, verifying degrees and other duties. She holds two associate degrees from MCC, in computer information systems and computer networking technology, and is active in the college community on the graduation committee and as an academic coach.
Benjamin Breault, Lattoya Hales and Samantha Plourd have been appointed enrollment services coordinators. In their roles, they will be responsible for financial aid advising and processing, admissions advising, outreach and student recruitment, program operation, and recording keeping and reporting.
Breault, of Colchester, Conn, was previously an MCC admissions office assistant, since 2008. Prior to joining the college, he worked for Stowe Machine Company as a quality technician, and previously held positions in that company’s shipping and receiving department. He holds a master’s degree from Trinity College and a bachelor’s degree from Goddard College.
Hales, of Hartford, Conn., served as a family liaison coordinator in South Windsor High School and previous to that was an administrative assistant in the business and financial aid office at Goodwin College. She also worked as a financial aid office assistant at Capital Community College (CCC). She holds a bachelor’s degree from Central Connecticut State University and an associate degree from CCC.
Plourd of Rochdale, Mass., joins MCC from Rosemont College in Pennsylvania, where she was a transfer counselor/student ambassador coordinator. Prior to that, she served as an admissions counselor at Post University in Waterbury, Conn. Plourd holds a master’s degree from Rosemont College and a bachelor’s degree from Quinnipiac University.
