MCC Announces Appointment of Bursar Eddie Miranda
Manchester, Conn. (August 11, 2015) – Eddie Miranda has been named bursar of Manchester Community College.
Miranda has overall functional and operational responsibility for the management, direction and guidance of the college’s accounts receivable. He will also develop departmental goals, objectives and strategies to enhance student services related to financial accounts, including tuition payments, waivers and flexible payment plans to help students spread their tuition and fees over the semester.
He joins MCC from the Hartford public school system, where he has worked in positions of increasing responsibility since 2010, including manager of student accounts, behavioral technician, operations manager and, most recently, staffing specialist.
Prior to that, he worked at Central Connecticut State University as a contract compliance assistant and accounts payable accountant. He has also served as an accountant at Palo Alto University, California.
Miranda is active in the greater Hartford community, where he mentors high school and college students. He is also involved with the Lambda Theta Phi Latin fraternity. He holds a bachelor of science degree in finance from Central Connecticut State University, and he earned his MBA in business administration from the University of Phoenix.
