Massasoit Takes Round Two, 2-0
Brockton, MA – The MCC women’s soccer team lost their second game of the season Monday afternoon as Massasoit CC beat the Cougars 2-0 in Brockton, MA Monday afternoon.
MCC drops to 11-2 on the season while Massasoit improves to 9-4.
Nicole Morehouse of Tolland made eight saves and allowed a goal in each half before moving up to forward with 20 minutes to play. Nine days earlier in a similar situation, Morehouse came out of the net and scored the game winner at home against Massasoit in a 3-2 MCC victory. Ashlyn Gates of Manchester made three saves, but the Cougars could not solve Massasoit goaltender Beth Arsenault, who made five saves for the winners.
The MCC Women conclude a stretch of five games in eight days on Wednesday when they travel to Holyoke CC for a 3:30PM game.
