Manchester Community College to Hold Commencement May 31

Manchester, Connecticut-(May 14, 2012)…The 48th commencement ceremony at Manchester Community College will be held on Thursday, May 31 at 5:30 p.m. at the Bicentennial Band Shell.

Over 1,000 students will be awarded certificates and associate degrees in more than 60 programs. The program will include awarding of an honorary degree, special student recognition, Board of Regents medallions awards and a commencement address.

Timothy J. Devanney, President of Highland Park Market, will receive an honorary degree in recognition of his continuing commitment to Manchester Community College. The commencement address will be given by Lewis J. Robinson, Jr., Chair, Board of Regents for Higher Education.

The event is free and the public is welcome

In the event of rain the ceremony will be held in the SBM Charitable Foundation Auditorium at 5:30 p.m. The
Students of any age who possess the desire to pursue higher education are welcome at Manchester Community College. The College offers over 60 programs, transfer options, financial aid and scholarships, as well as access to baccalaureate degrees through guaranteed admissions programs with several universities.
