Manchester Community College Students Inducted Into International Business Honor Society

Manchester, CT – June 21, 2007 . . . The Alpha Beta Gamma Business Honor Society at Manchester Community College recently inducted 55 new members. Alpha Beta Gamma inductees must have a GPA of 3.0 for a minimum of 12 credits earned to qualify for membership.

Alpha Beta Gamma is an international business honor society established in 1970 to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students in business curricula. The honor society provides leadership opportunities, forums for the exchange of ideas and the stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence.

Since its founding, over 55,000 students from accredited community, junior, and technical colleges have been inducted into the Society. In 1998, the constitution was amended to accept business honor students from Mexico and Canada. Alpha Beta Gamma is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies, and an affiliate member of both the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) and The Association of Canadian Community Colleges (ACCC).

Students of any age who possess the desire to pursue higher education are welcome at Manchester Community College.
