Manchester Community College Hosts Open House
Manchester Community College will hold its annual Open House on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., in the Great Path Academy Community Commons on the MCC campus. The event is for new, returning, and transfer students, and their families interested in Summer and Fall 2023 courses; visiting students (those attending another college or university, and who wish to take a class) are welcome, as well.
The Open House will provide information on the college’s over 80 degree and certificate programs, as well as on admission and financial aid. Information about the college’s hundreds of online, hybrid and classroom courses will also be featured. Students interested in accelerated summer credit courses can also talk to faculty and staff.
Students enrolling in the Fall 2023 semester will be part of the inaugural class of CT State Community College. Only July 1, Connecticut’s 12 community colleges are merging; CT State will be one of the largest community colleges in the country and largest in New England. The Open House will be an opportunity for prospective students and their families to learn more about the new college and the many advantages it will offer, including streamlined admissions, 12 locations at which to take classes, and seamless transfer to the Connecticut State Universities and Charter Oak State College. Seamless transfer opportunities are also available to UConn, through the Guaranteed Admissions Program (GAP).,
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with faculty, staff and current students, as well as tour the campus. Information will be available about academic programs and services, transfer opportunities, and paying for college, including PACT, the community colleges’ free college program.
