Manchester Community College to Hold Open House, March 24

Manchester  Community College will hold an open house on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, from 4:30 to 7 p.m., in the Great Path Academy gymnasium on the MCC main campus. The event is free and open to new, returning and transfer students and their families. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet MCC faculty, staff and students. Tours will be available.

The open house will provide information on the college’s more than 80 degree and certificate programs, as well as offer special workshops on the admissions process; paying for college; health careers; managing school, work and family; and many other issues.

Learn about courses to enhance job skills and future employability; internships and career services; accelerated credit courses; online, hybrid and classroom courses; academic support services, and financial aid and scholarships.

The open house will also feature several new degrees and certificates including Computer Game Design (A.S. degree), Dental Assistant (certificate), Electronic Health Record Specialist (certificate), Interpersonal and Organizational Communications (A.A. degree) and Radiologic Science, which has a Radiography or Radiation Therapy option (A.S. degree).

For prospective students interested in career-oriented programs that do not require a college degree, representatives from the Continuing Education division will be on hand to talk about computer certifications, health careers, excursions in learning youth programs, personal fitness trainer certification, real estate, and precision machining and manufacturing. Information on credit-free personal enrichment courses will also be available.

Pre-registration is encouraged, but not required. Anyone who preregisters will be automatically entered to win an iPad mini or a $100 discount on a credit-free programs course and can double their chances to win by also completing a drawing ticket at the event.
