Manchester Community College to Hold Open House, April 4
Manchester, Conn. (March 8, 2017) – Manchester Community College will hold an open house on Tuesday, April 4, from 4 to 6:30 p.m., in the Great Path Academy Gymnasium on the MCC main campus. The event is free and open to new, returning and transfer students and their families.
The open house will provide information on the college’s more than 80 degree and certificate programs, as well as offer special workshops on the admissions process, paying for college and the new CSCU Transfer Tickets. These workshops will run from 4 to 5 p.m.
At 5 p.m., participants can also learn about courses to enhance job skills and future employability; internships and career services; accelerated credit courses; online, hybrid and classroom courses; academic support services, and financial aid and scholarships. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet MCC faculty, staff and students, and tours will be available.
MCC also has programs for adults in transition, veterans and others resuming their education.
For prospective students interested in career-oriented certification programs that do not require a college degree, representatives from the Continuing Education division will be on hand to talk about computer and office skills training; health career courses such as Certified Nurse Aide, veterinary assistant, emergency medical technician and others; personal fitness trainer certification; real estate license preparation; and advanced manufacturing training. Information on credit-free personal enrichment courses will also be available.
