Manchester Community College Announces MCC on Main February Events
The following events are scheduled for February at Manchester Community College Arts and Education Center, also known as MCC on Main. For details on any of these events, call 860-647-6030.
“Live on Main” entertainment in the Dehn Gallery:
February 6 – Grass Routes. 7 to 9 p.m. $10 cover. Bluegrass featuring banjo, mandolin, fiddle and guitar. BYOB.
February 8 – Sunday Jazz Brunch Series: JoyCo Jazz Trio. 1:30 to 3 p.m. $15 cover. Wine and dessert bar included. Pre-registration suggested.
February 13 – Trivia Happy Hour., hosted by BaR Rated Trivia. 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. $5 cover. Prizes awarded. Teams of two or more are welcome. BYOB.
February 20 – Music on Main: Fat Cat and Skinny Rat. 7:30 to 9 p.m. $5 cover includes wine tasting. Guitar duo covering rock, pop and alternative hits. BYOB.
February 28 – Acoustic on Main: Open Mic. 7 to 9 p.m. $5 cover. Sign-ups start at 6:30 p.m. Showcase your talents. BYOB
Art exhibitions:
Through February 14 – Big Impression. Large format printmaking by five Connecticut artists. Gallery open Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Free.

February 4 – Inbound Marketing Made Simple. 6 to 8 p.m. Free. Bob Ruffolo, CEO of Wallingford, Conn.-based IMPACT Branding & Design, will speak on 15 things you can do right now to start seeing online marketing success.
February 11 – “Beers, Burgers and Managing Your Bucks.” 6 to 8 p.m. $10. Topic: Preparing Your Business to be Bankable. Guest speaker is Adam McLaughlin, senior vice president, Webster Bank.
February 12 – Managing Costs through Analysis, Vendor Negotiation and Management. 6 to 8 p.m. Free. Speaker Stephen Carrabba, principal and founder of Experience Consulting.
February 13 – Business Counseling for Women. 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free. Milena Erwin to provide business career advising and counseling for women.
February 18 – Century 21 Homebuyers Seminar. 5:30 to 8 p.m. Free. Information about the home-buying process and insurance, sales and legal issues. Light fare offered.
February 24 – “How to Succeed at Building Successful Companies.” 12:30 to 1:50 p.m. Free. Guest speaker is Ilana Odess, CEO of Woven Orthopedic Technologies, LLC.
February 25 – Pursuing Your Passion: Turning Your Dream into a Reality. 6 to 8 p.m. Free. Inspirational speaker Abdul-Rahmaan I. Muhammad.
February 26 – Business After Hours Networking. 6 to 8 p.m. Free. Network with local entrepreneurs. Refreshments served.
