How to Monetize YOU at MCC on Main’s “Beer, Burgers & Managing Your Bucks”
At MCC on Main’s next “Beer, Burgers & Managing Your Bucks” event on May 14, from 6 to 8 p.m., guest speaker Kyle Reyes, president and creative director of The Silent Partner Marketing, will not only show attendees how they can shape an authentic and compelling “personal brand,” he’ll also have a long list of ideas for turning that brand into dollars.
The event is held at MCC on Main, 903 Main Street, Manchester. Admission is $5, and there is free on street parking.
Reyes, a former television news and special projects producer, has extensive experience in various multimedia platforms, social networking, marketing and promotions. His company is a boutique marketing firm that is focused on helping businesses grow in an age of exploding technology.
Doors open at 6 p.m. with an encore craft beer tasting hosted by Manchester’s popular new Top Shelf Brewing Company and sliders from Corey’s Catsup & Mustard burger bar. Reyes’ personal branding presentation begins at 7 p.m.
During the networking hour, guests will also have the opportunity to have a professional digital headshot taken at a significantly reduced price ($25) by Manchester-based photographer John Garaventa. According to many social media experts, a good headshot is vital to reflecting an individual’s personal brand and connecting a face to one’s virtual identity.
In addition, Stacey Zackin, career and life coach and founder of theCoach4you.com, will be available before and after the evening’s presentation to consult with attendees on identifying their unique value and integrating their personal brand into their resumes, printed and verbal business cards and social media profiles. Those who are interested in taking advantage of Zackin’s complimentary coaching should bring samples of their marketing materials for a brief review.
May’s event marks the end of the 2013-2014 season for “Beer, Burgers & Managing Your Bucks,” the networking/money-management series aimed at young adults. Plans for the series to resume in the fall are under way.

This month, Manchester’s Top Shelf Brewing Company returns to MCC on Main for an encore craft-beer tasting. Located in the historic Hilliard Mills complex on Hilliard Street, Top Shelf opened its doors last fall with three core offerings: American, Irish and Belgian ales. Since then, according to owners Mike Boney, T.J. Lavery and Joe Frost, the small three-barrel brewery has experienced tremendous growth and plans are in the works for an expansion. Taproom hours at 640 Hilliard Street are currently Fridays 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturdays noon to 4 p.m.
