Hartford Foundation for Public Giving Spotlights MCC
A recent video produced by the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving (HFPG) highlights Manchester Community College students as beneficiaries of the Community College Scholarship Program.
The video, produced to help report on the foundation’s 2015 Scholarship Recipient Reception, features interviews with first-generation student Paulina Kuziara ’13, who graduated from MCC with a degree in Hotel-Tourism Management and credits the support she received in scholarship funding for her success. The video also features interviews with MCC President Gena Glickman, who praises the college’s incredible partnership with HFPG; and Dean of Development and Community Engagement Endia DeCordova, who points out that “the biggest challenges facing students are finances or resources to pay for higher education.”
Formed in 2010, the program was designed to help an under-serviced portion of Greater Hartford: community colleges. Click here to view the video.
