Finger (2) and Connor Score in MCC’s 3-0 Win

Boston, MA – Enfield’s Brittany Finger scored a pair of first half goals and Julia Connor (Ellington) added a third as the MCC women’s soccer team blanked Bunker Hill CC 3-0 in Boston Saturday afternoon.

The Cougars are now 11-1 on the season while Bunker Hill drops to 0-6.

Ashlyn Gates (Manchester) made two saves while recording her first shutout of the season. Finger’s team leading 13th and 14th goals of the season puts her at #13 in the NJCAA Division III scoring chart with 37 points. Connor, who scored on a penalty kick, assisted on Finger’s second goal. Lindsay Estok (Middletown) picked up her seventh assist of the year on Finger’s first goal.

The Cougars are three games into a stretch of five games over eight days and will travel to Brockton, MA on Monday afternoon for a Region XXI Division III game against Massasoit CC.
