Evening of Fine Wines at Manchester Community College – Friday, April 26

Manchester, Connecticut – (February 25, 2013)… The Manchester Community College Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce that William H.W. Crawford, IV, President and CEO of Rockville Bank, will return as Honorary Chair for the 21st annual Evening of Fine Wines. The Rockville Bank Foundation is the lead sponsor of MCC’s 2013 event which takes place on Friday, April 26.

The Evening of Fine Wines is hosted by the Manchester Community College Foundation, Inc. and combines a wine tasting and live wine auction with a silent auction of non-wine items to raise funds for scholarships and programs at the College.

“The Rockville Bank Foundation is once again honored to sponsor MCC’s premier fundraiser, Evening of Fine Wines. More importantly, we hope our support of this wonderful event will go a long way in raising the money necessary to help fund scholarships and programs for hundreds of deserving students from the region who have chosen MCC to pursue their educational goals,” said Crawford.

Leia Bell, Dean of Institutional Advancement at MCC, stated, “Our students’ talents continue to amaze and inspire me. The support given to them by our sponsors and donors through this event helps to ensure more talented students enter the local workforce with a degree and unbridled by debt. We are incredibly appreciative of everyone who shares in this vision.”

The event will feature wines and other beverages from Connecticut and around the globe with more than 20 tasting tables. Each guest will receive a complimentary souvenir wine glass for sampling the wine. Elegant hors d’oeuvres and desserts, prepared by MCC Culinary Arts students, will be served throughout the evening.

Tickets are $75 per person and advance purchase is highly recommended. A group rate is available when purchasing six tickets or more for a savings of $10 per ticket. Tickets can be purchased online by visiting Giving. For more information, call 860-512-2922 or visit the wine auction website.
