Employers and Job-Seekers to Meet at MCC Annual Part-Time Job Fair October 1

MANCHESTER, Conn. (September 24, 2019) – Manchester Community College is hosting its annual part-time job fair on Tuesday, October 1, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the SBM Charitable Foundation Building first-floor lobby. The event is designed to match local employers with candidates looking for part-time, flexible hours, such as MCC students.  It is also open to the public. Candidates are not required to register in advance, but should dress professionally and bring plenty of resumes to distribute to employers.

More than 25 businesses generally attend, according to Julie Greene, MCC’s director of Career and Veterans Services.

“It is a great opportunity for students to discover work experiences that can complement their majors as well as their class schedules,” she said. “This year we have a lot of participation in the job fair from local employers. It will be a great way for part-time job seekers to pick up work and possibly even get a foot in the door for a longer term position they will love.”
