CT State Manchester Recognized by Town and State Dignitaries
Last week, local dignitaries, MCC Foundation board members, CT State Manchester administrators and employees, students and community members gathered to acknowledge CT State Manchester being named the best community college in the state, and the eighth best in the country by WalletHub, a nationwide personal finance company.
Manchester Mayor Jay Moran presented CT State Manchester CEO Nicole Esposito, EdD with an Official Citation from the town recognizing the college for its outstanding contributions to the community and its many accomplishments.
State Representative and House Majority Leader Jason Rojas also brought greetings from the Connecticut General Assembly and recognition in the form of an Official Citation from the state for this exceptional achievement. Accompanying Representative Rojas was Representative Jill Barry, Representative Jeff Curry, Representative Jason Doucette, and Senator MD Rahman.
“I am so proud of this institution and all of the faculty and staff, along with my leadership team, that have made this nationwide recognition possible,” stated CEO Esposito. “Connecticut can be overlooked as one of the smaller states, but to know that we have been named the eight best community college in the nation, and the best in Connecticut, is a testament to our commitment to our students, hard work and dedication to our community.”
She continued, “Acknowledgement from our state and local leaders – Mayor Moran and Representative Rojas, in particular – and their unwavering support of the work that we do here makes this designation from WalletHub even more special.
The success of the individual colleges in Connecticut (pre-merger) also contributed to Connecticut being named the second-best community college system in the nation.
