Continuing Education Courses Helps Sharpen Computer Skills
Recent jobs reports released by the U.S. Department of Labor continue to underscore the fact that people who keep their job skills up to date do best in a job market that is improving slowly but remains fiercely competitive.
Manchester Community College’s Continuing Education division offers computer technology education and training through its Credit-Free programs. These courses are designed to give both incumbent workers and people looking for a job the basic and advanced skills that will help them achieve their career goals.
Credit-Free programs offers a new course, WordPress Web Design Introduction, to begin on Thursday, October 2, from 6 to 9 p.m. for two sessions (refer to CRN 31880 to register). Another new course, Medisoft Patient Account and Medical Billing Software Introduction, begins Thursday, October 2 from 9 a.m. to noon for six sessions (refer to CRN 31855). Prerequisites for both courses are Basic Windows, keyboard and mouse skills.
MCC is also offering engineering design professionals, project managers and the avid beginner the course AutoCAD 2013 Certification Preparation on Saturday, September 20 from 9 a.m. to noon for 12 Saturday sessions (refer to CRN 31753).Computer support professionals can register for the course A+ Certification 220-801 Exam Preparation beginning Saturday, September 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for four Saturday sessions (refer to CRN 31743). The course Game Design and Development begins Saturday, September 20 from 9 a.m. to noon for six Saturday sessions (refer to CRN 31764). Shorter term courses in computer technology are also available. The course Database Concepts will be held on Friday, September 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for one session (refer to CRN 31588). An Adobe Photoshop In-Depth (PC) course will be held Friday, September 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for two Friday sessions (refer to CRN 31604).
