Celebrate With Us
Manchester, CT – (September 4, 2013)… Please join with us in celebrating Manchester Community College’s 50th Birthday on Tuesday, September 17 at 12:30 PM in the Campus Quad.
The Birthday Bash will include food, fun, music, dance, giveaways, special guests – including our very own MCC Cougar – and, of course, birthday cake.
As we celebrate 50 years of achievement, we recognize that the faces at our college have changed, our campus has transformed and even our name has undergone a transformation. But our passion for helping students succeed has never wavered. Although so much has changed, we have not lost our vision of helping students to achieve their dreams, passions and goals.
We also recognize and thank the many individuals who, for 50 years, have dedicated their time, money and energy into making Manchester Community College the strong institution that it is today. Without all of our friends and families, students and employees, business partners and donors, alumni and retirees, we would not be celebrating our 50th year as the region’s premier community college. Here’s to another 50 years and more of serving our communities.
Students of any age who possess the desire to pursue higher education are welcome at Manchester Community College. MCC is proud of its academic excellence, new facilities, flexible schedules, small classes, low tuition and faculty with both academic and “real world” credentials. The college offers over 60 programs, transfer options, financial aid and scholarships, as well as access to baccalaureate degrees through guaranteed admissions programs with several universities.
The main, park-like campus, which is easily accessible from I-84, is also the home of Great Path Academy, a middle college high school, serving grades 9-12. The college’s second location, the Manchester Community College Arts and Education Center, opened in downtown Manchester in 2012. MCC takes pride in the quality of programs and the many ways we’ve helped students, families, businesses and community grow over the past five decades. Fifty Years Together. For Learning. For Life. ###
