Manchester Community College will celebrate African American History Month with several events during the month of February. All events are free and open to the public.

MCC Receives Scholarship Fund Donation

The Exposition Wheelmen Cycling Club recently presented the Manchester Community College Foundation Scholarship Fund with a check for $1,000. The donation was a portion of the proceeds raised by the running of the Aetna Silk City Cyclocross, presented by the Exposition Wheelmen Cycling Club.

EMT Course at MCC Prepares Students for Certification

Manchester Community College’s Continuing Education Division offers an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training course that fully prepares students to take the certification exam. The MCC Credit-Free course is offered in partnership with the Ambulance Service of Manchester (ASM) LLC.

Manchester Community College Named as One of Top 150 in the Country

Highlighting the critical importance of improving student success in America’s community colleges, the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program today named Manchester Community College as one of the nation’s top 150 community colleges eligible to compete for the 2015 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence and $1 million dollars in prize funds.

MCC to Host Meal and Class on French Cuisine; Other Cuisine Classes Offered

Manchester Community College’s Continuing Education Division continues its acclaimed series of cultural explorations with “A Taste of France: Join Us for an Authentic French Meal and Culinary Talk.” This class/meal meets Tuesday evening, February 25, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the college’s Culinary Arts Center.

MCC Chosen to Join the Multistate Collaborative to Measure College Student Learning

Manchester Community College is one of six colleges and universities in Connecticut, and nearly 50 nationwide, to join the Multistate Collaborative to Advance Learning Outcomes Assessment. Higher education leaders and faculty from nine states are working together to evaluate authentic student work in ways that allow measurement of student achievement.
