A flu clinic will be held at Manchester Community College October 31 from noon to 2:30 p.m. in the SBM Charitable Foundation Building, room E113 (behind the auditorium). The clinic is open to the public.

Mohegan Tribal Chief Many Hearts, of Niantic, also known as Lynn Malerba, will be honored not only for her work as chief of the tribe but also for her service to the larger community at MCC’s Native American Heritage Month Opening Ceremony on Monday, November 5, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Registration Opens for MCC Winter Intersession Classes; Get Ahead with Credit Extension Courses
Applications are being accepted for new students who want to enroll during this session, which runs December 26, 2018 through January 11, 2019. Students can earn up to four credits per course in three weeks.

Manchester Community College’s ICE TV Club commemorates the 50th anniversary of a favorite among horror movie fans, “Night of the Living Dead,” Monday, October 22, from 3:30 to 5:45 p.m. in Great Path Community Commons. Admission is free, but moviegoers are encouraged to bring a can/box of food to support MCC’s onsite food pantry.

MCC faculty, staff and other volunteers are again preparing for and will host the community on Saturday, October 20, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the college’s Culinary Arts Center. Admission is $20.

MCC’s Corporate and Community Training Center’s Medical Office Assistant Program Leads to Successful Job Placement
The program has a 100 percent completion rate and, among the 30 students who enrolled for the 2017-18 academic year, 17 are now employed full-time in the greater Hartford area, and 16 students are continuing their education toward associate degrees or certificate programs at MCC.
