MCC’s Classical Cuisine Dinner Supports the College’s Hospitality Student Clubs and Competition Teams
The dinner is Tuesday, December 4, beginning at 6 p.m. The Iberian-style menu features Spanish tapas, casoletta de paella, caldo verde, garlic-roasted pork shank, blood orange sorbet, olive-oil poached monkfish, grilled pulpo and pastel de nata.

MCC Alumni Association Celebrates 2018 Alumni of the Year at Annual Alumni Dinner
Marilyn Parkinson Thrall ‘73, a resident of Canton, and John B. Toomey, Jr. ’74, of Bolton, have been named 2018 Alumni of the Year by the Manchester Community College Alumni Association.
MCC Sponsors “The Music of Ghana” Traditional Drumming Concert
Manchester Community College’s Diversity Committee and the Cultural Programs Committee present master drummer Francis Kofi Akotuah, accompanied by percussionists Attah Poku and Michal Ofori, on Thursday, November 8, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The trio will play music from the Ewe, Ashante and Ga traditions. The concert is free and open to the public.
MCC Announces 2018-19 Scholarship Awards
A scholarship celebration was held Tuesday evening, October 30, in the SBM Charitable Foundation Auditorium. A reception followed for the recipients and their families.
Spring 2019 Registration for New Students Begins November 12
Continuing students can register for courses starting November 5. New students must apply and attend new student orientation before they are eligible for registration.
MCC Alumni Association to Hold Alumni Dinner and Awards Ceremony
The Manchester Community College Alumni Association will hold its annual dinner and award ceremony Tuesday, November 13, from 6:15 to 8:30 p.m. in the Student Services Center atrium.
“The Iceberg Portraits” Graphic Design Internship Show – Opening Reception to be Held November 15
The exhibition will run from November 8 through December 4. It is being staged in collaboration with Dyshann Anderson from Aquastone Graphic Arts & Print, where the student artists, Sarah Beth Norris and Maria Shaer, did 150-hour internships last spring. Anderson, Norris and Shaer will be on hand to discuss the work.
MCC and Dehn Foundation Sponsor Visiting Artist Talks
The Adolf and Virginia Dehn Foundation visiting artist series at Manchester Community College continues with painter Josephine Halvorson on Thursday, November 8, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Halvorson, who gives herself only one day to complete each canvas, will talk about her work.
