A grant-funded partnership between Manchester Community College and Vernon Regional Adult Board of Education (VRABE) created a special Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) program. A cohort of ten students recently graduated and passed their state certification exams.

MCC Offers Free Certified Nurse Aid Job Training with Support of CARES Act Funding
The six-week course is offered at no cost to students. It starts Monday, October 5 and runs through Wednesday, November 11. To be eligible, students must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED, and their employment must have been adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

MCC has begun a new partnership with Hartford HealthCare pharmacies that includes an optional 80-hour externship. There is no additional fee for the externship, which begins in October.
