A grant-funded partnership between Manchester Community College and Vernon Regional Adult Board of Education (VRABE) created a special Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) program. A cohort of ten students recently graduated and passed their state certification exams.

Manchester Community College‘s Continuing Education and Workforce Development division released its non-credit catalog for Spring 2022.  The courses run through May.

Manchester Community College‘s non-credit catalog for Fall 2021 is now available. Courses run September through December.

As Connecticut gradually returns to pre-pandemic business status, MCC is opening the campus to more on-ground and hybrid offerings, in addition to online classes.

Courses are designed to provide people interested in shifting careers with a short-term path to new, in-demand job skills.

Classes begin on an ongoing basis and run for varying durations and are designed to provide people interested in expanding their horizons through a wide selection of topics in art and crafts; family, finance and consumer issues; fitness and recreation; languages; music; photography and others.

The six-week course is offered at no cost to students. It starts Monday, October 5 and runs through Wednesday, November 11. To be eligible, students must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED, and their employment must have been adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

These short-term courses – some are just two sessions — run through December on an ongoing basis. They are designed to provide people interested in shifting careers or boosting their current employment with a quick path to in-demand computer skills.

Manchester Community College offers non-credit courses in Workforce Development as well as Personal Development and Enrichment for Fall 2020. Each set of programs is featured in its respective catalog to enhance access to continuing education programs.

MCC has begun a new partnership with Hartford HealthCare pharmacies that includes an optional 80-hour externship. There is no additional fee for the externship, which begins in October.
