April Staff Member Recipients of the Mishi-maya-gat Award (Staff Member of the Month)
Our first recipient this month is Kim Ruoff, a Spanish teacher! She is always going above and beyond and organizes field trips, fundraisers and fun events for the GPA community. She is a treasure and the GPA family is lucky to have her! Ms. Ruoff attended Fairfield University and majored in Spanish and International Studies. Her favorite thing about teaching at GPA is how GPA is such a close, tight-knit community. She is very passionate about the Spanish language and culture and loves seeing that reflected in her students. She loves being involved in the prom committee and the Spain trip because they are fun rewards for students’ hard work .
The second is Chuck Buder, the Social Studies Department Lead teacher. He is another great co-worker– always helpful, respectful and willing to go the extra mile. Mr. Buder went to UConn and majored in International Business Administration and attended University of St. Joseph for a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction. His favorite thing about teaching at GPA is the environment– the positive energy from the students and the staff. These two are great additions to the GPA family and all of the staff and students are better off because they are here!
