April Events at MCC
Manchester, Connecticut-(March, 14, 2011)… The following events will be held at Manchester Community College during the month of April.
Tickets are on sale for the 19th Annual An Evening of Fine Wines, which will be held on Friday, April 1 from 7:00 p.m. to 10 p.m.. This year’s honorary chair is Robert M. Annon, Jr., Regional President Hartford/Springfield Webster Bank. This annual gala event combines a wine tasting and live wine auction with a silent auction on non-wine items to raise funds for scholarships and programs at the College. Dr. Richard Shulman on Monday, April 4 at 7 pm presents a talk entitled ”Valuing Psychotherapy in the Age of Medication” in the Great Path Community Commons.
The Future of the Middle East on Wednesday, April 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. The program will begin with a panel discussion and then a lecture by Dr. Raymond William Baker, a professor of International Politics at Trinity College. The event will be held in the SBM Charitable Foundation Auditorium.
Wednesday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m. Rennie McQuilkin will present a poetry reading in the Fireside Commons. He is the winner of the 2009 CT Book Award in Poetry.
Friday, April 8 the MCC International Film Series at 7 pm presents the Spanish film “Timecrimes” a vision of science and natural law gone wrong in the SBM Charitable Foundation Auditorium.
Regional Job Fair on Saturday, April 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Great Path Academy Gym. The annual Regional Job Fair is open to the general public and job seekers can meet with over 50 employers.
