Early Bird Ticket Sales for Evening of Fine Food and Friends Fundraiser, April 26

MANCHESTER, Conn. (January 4, 2019) – Formerly known as Evening of Fine Wines, the signature fundraising event that the community has come to know and love is back – with a new name that showcases the fantastic contributions provided by MCC’s own students. Early bird tickets are on sale for MCC Foundation’s Evening of Fine Food and Friends, to be held on Friday, April 26, 2019, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Until January 31, 2019, individual ticket prices are $95. Early bird tickets are $85 each when purchased as part of a group of six or more. After January, the price for a ticket goes up to $125 per person — $110 per person for groups of six or more.

Billy Grant, local celebrity chef and restauranteur, and an MCC Foundation board member, will serve as honorary chair of this year’s event. As the new name emphasizes, this cabaret-themed night of fun, food, friends, wines and beers shines a light on all that MCC students contribute to make this this outstanding signature fundraiser a success. Guests will start the evening with performances by MCC’s Music Studies students — with special musical arrangements at the VIP reception — and end by dancing to great music spun by DJs from MCC’s student-run ICE Radio.

All the food is prepared and served by MCC’s Culinary Arts and Hospitality students. In fact, they have already started planning the menu. MCC’s art students helped create the theme designs for invitations, posters, website and other promotional projects.

Through MCC Foundation, Evening of Fine Food and Friends raises funds that enable students to pursue their educational goals by supporting scholarships, programs and student life. Less than half of the college’s budget is supported through public funding, making support from MCC Foundation donors crucial.
