MCC Alumni Can Earn Bachelor’s Degree at Community College Cost

MANCHESTER, Conn. (June 21, 2018) – Manchester Community College recent graduates with an associate degree now have the opportunity to earn their bachelor’s degree at the same cost as MCC tuition and fees – as well as with the convenience of online courses — through Charter Oak State College.

MCC and Charter Oak State College recently signed the Community College Tuition Match Scholarship Agreement, in which Charter Oak State College will provide curriculum for the last two years of a bachelor’s degree to graduates of associate degree programs at MCC. Tuition and fee rates for MCC will apply. This agreement goes into effect Fall 2018.

Charter Oak State College is an online public college offering bachelor’s degree programs along with master’s and associate degrees. The college offers degree completion in a number of high-demand, workforce relevant fields including business, healthcare and public safety.

The arrangement between the two institutions provides MCC alumni with reduced costs for five years. In order to qualify, the student must enroll in a minimum of six Charter Oak credits within six months of completing their MCC degree.

Eligible students should apply for Federal Pell Grants to help cover the costs of their college expenses; students will be responsible for books, technology fees, and any other course related expenses.
