Manchester Community College to Hold Open House, November 9

Manchester, Conn. (October 19, 2017) – Manchester Community College will hold an open house on Thursday, November 9, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., in Great Path Academy Community Commons. The event is free and open to new, returning and transfer students and their families. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet MCC faculty, staff and students. Tours will be available.

The open house will provide information on the college’s more than 80 degree and certificate programs, as well as offer special workshops on the admissions process; paying for college; health careers; managing school, work and family; and many other issues. Participants will also learn about courses to enhance job skills and future employability; internships and career services; accelerated credit courses; online, hybrid and classroom courses; academic support services, and financial aid and scholarships.

Special emphasis will be placed on those programs that support adults returning to school to finish a degree, gain new skills or find a new career.

For prospective students interested in career-oriented programs that do not require a college degree, representatives from the Continuing Education division will be on-hand to talk about computer certifications, health careers, personal fitness trainer certification and real estate. Information on credit-free personal enrichment courses will also be available. Pre-registration is recommended but not required. Go to www.manchestercc.edu/open-house.
