MCC Continuing Education Division Offers Business and Accounting Courses

Manchester, Conn. (October 5, 2017) – Manchester Community College’s Continuing Education division offers several courses this fall to help sharpen accounting and bookkeeping skills. These courses are designed to help employees of local businesses as well as individuals keeping household records.

In Conversation to Presentation: Expanding Everyday Communication Skills into Effective Public Speaking, (refer to CRN 31687 to register), learn in a supportive and interactive environment how to expand communication skills into public speaking abilities. This course is offered four successive Fridays beginning October 13 and concluding November 3, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Find out how to keep your bookkeeping secure in Forensic Accounting: What You Don’t Know Can Hurt You (refer to CRN 30963 to register). This course is offered Wednesday, October 18, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Forensic accountants are the sleuths who discover anything from poor accounting habits to hidden assets and outright fraud.

Peak your interest and gain insight into the accounting cycle, the basic concepts of a transaction and the financial picture of a business by enrolling in Bookkeeping: Introduction (refer to CRN 31529 to register). This course is offered four successive Saturdays beginning October 14 and ending November 4, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Explore the best practices for tracking finances, managing payroll, processing invoices, controlling inventory, managing sales and expenses, and maximizing QuickBooks’ many features in QuickBooks Introduction (refer to CRN 31355 to register). This course is offered four successive Mondays beginning October 16 and ending November 6, 9 a.m. to noon.
