The Dehn Gallery at MCC on Main Presents “FLIGHT”
Manchester, Conn. (May 2, 2017) — The Dehn Gallery at MCC on Main – the Manchester Community College Arts and Education Center – will present the exhibition “FLIGHT,” featuring artwork by regional artists in an open-call juried show. “FLIGHT” will be on view from May 16 through August 26, 2017.
“FLIGHT” is an open-call juried exhibition representing Northeastern regional artists whose work responds to the theme of flight.The work touches upon flying, fleeing, or an extravagant or far-fetched idea or account as in flights of fancy. Jurors for the competitive exhibition include Neil Daigle-Orians, visual arts coordinator at Real Art Ways; David Borawski, artist and independent curator; and, Jane Rainwater, Dehn Gallery curator.
An opening reception to present cash awards for the show will be held Friday, May 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dehn Gallery. The reception and exhibition are free and open to the public. Visit www.mcconmain.org for more information.
