MCC to Hold 29th Annual Regional Job Fair, March 31

MANCHESTER, Conn. (February 13, 2017) – Manchester Community College is hosting its 29th annual Regional Job Fair on Friday, March 31, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Great Path Academy Gymnasium. Some 60 high-profile businesses, among them Bright Horizons, The Hartford, Waterford Hotel Group and Wheeler Clinic, will meet face-to-face with potential employees. Job seekers should bring a current resume and dress for success. The fair is open to the public. Employers and job seekers alike can find more information about this unique, long-running annual event at www.manchestercc.edu/jobfair.

The Regional Job Fair is also beneficial to the businesses participating, according to Julie Greene, director of career services and veterans affairs.

“With the amount of eager job seekers who attend the fair, it is a great way for employers to gain positive exposure and visibility, and attract prospective employees,” she said. “We get very positive feedback from employers about the event.”

MCC also offers comprehensive help for job seekers looking for assistance in preparing resumes, as well as sharpening interviewing skills. These informative workshops are offered periodically and are open not only to students and alumni but also to the community.
