MCC Holds Information Sessions for Upcoming Health Careers Programs

Manchester, Conn. (November 9, 2016) – Manchester Community College is offering several free information sessions for students interested in enrolling in one of the upcoming Health Careers programs. Applications for the Fall 2017 start of these programs are being accepted until March 1, 2017.

One-hour sessions will be held December 6, between noon and 4 p.m., depending on the session. The radiologic science programs session is from noon to 1 p.m.; the occupational therapy assistant program session is from 1 to 2 p.m.; dental assistant is from 2 to 3 p.m.; and respiratory care, from 3 to 4 p.m. All sessions take place in Great Path Academy Community Commons. Interested students need to attend an information session before enrolling in any of these programs.

“Health Career” is used to describe a group of important professions that assist, facilitate and complement the work of physicians and other healthcare providers. The healthcare industry is a prominent and fast-growing part of today’s economy. There are many opportunities for employment across a wide variety of healthcare environments. These include wellness centers, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities and nursing homes. There is a high demand that is growing steadily for individuals with healthcare degrees. Students who complete one of these MCC programs earn an associate in science degree or certificate.
